Japanese Aluminium House in Kanazawa City by Atelier TekutoJapanese practice Atelier Tekuto has completed this aluminium-framed private residence in Kanazawa City, western Japan. Unlike previous wooden-framed housing by this practice, this house utlises an aluminium facade with an aluminium structure.Solar passive energy heats the property in the winter, although the deep eaves of the roof preventing overheating from the high summer sun.Geothermal energy is also harnessed from the site, along with aluminium rings collecting energy from the sun; these act as radiators when necessary.Other sustainable features include full LED lighting, a ‘green-roof’ system, rainwater harvesting and solar panels for water heating.
